People are reporting they’ve received automated telephone phone calls stating their debit card has been breached and are prompted to enter their debit card number, PIN, and sometimes other sensitive information to reset their card. THIS IS A SCAM in an effort to trick as many people as possible to gather card information for fraudulent use. Please be advised that BAY STATE SAVINGS BANK WILL NEVER CALL YOU IN THIS FASHION OR ASK FOR PERSONAL, PRIVATE ACCOUNT INFORMATION! Please always remember: Never disclose sensitive information such as account number, debit card number, SSN, or PIN over the phone. Hang up and call the bank using the phone number listed on our web site or statements to inquire about your account and card status.
